Missions Department

Just because a Home Mission church is small doesn’t mean:

  • Nothing is being accomplished

  • It’s not as important as the big churches

  • The Home Missions pastor is not as important as the pastor of the big church

  • God’s presence is not as strong there as it is in the big churches

Remember every big church started out small. It can be very discouraging to a Home Missions pastor to feel you are all alone in the work of God and no one cares. But it’s very encouraging to know there are people that care about you and support what you are doing for God and show it!

We can all help and support the Home Mission pastor by:

  • Praying for him

  • Calling him with words of encouragement

  • Or sending him a love offering

My prayer is, God bless all of our Home Mission pastors and God bless each of you and the work you are doing for God.

Despise not the small things!

Despise not the small things!

Zechariah 4:8-10 - THE MESSAGE

8 After that, the Word of God came to me:

9 "Zerubbabel started rebuilding this Temple and he will complete it. That will be your confirmation that God-of-the-Angel-Armies sent me to you.

10 Does anyone dare despise this day of small beginnings? They'll change their tune when they see Zerubbabel setting the last stone in place!"

Zerubbabel started building the temple and it looked as tho little had been accomplished and it was taking a long time to get built. God was saying don’t give up on Zerubbabel and the work he is doing. Don’t mark him off because things aren’t going as fast as you think it should be, or because it don’t look like much has been accomplished. Don’t give up on him because of all the opposition that is against him. What he started, he will complete.
